Oral Cancers
Also known as mouth cancer, oral cancer typically starts as a lump, bump or patch in the mouth (these are called “lesions”). Explore the specific types of cancer found in the oral cavity below.
Neck Cancers
Neck cancers are usually due to cancer cells that have spread into lymph nodes within the neck from a different primary tumor site, or they could be lymphomas and sarcomas that begin in the neck.
Throat Cancers
Throat cancers include those of the pharynx (hypopharynx, nasopharynx, and oropharynx), larynx (glottis, subglottis, and supraglottis), and cervical esophagus.
Thyroid Cancers
Almost all cancers of the thyroid are differentiated tumors (papillary, follicular or Hurthle cell carcinoma). Other less common thyroid cancers, like medullary or anaplastic, behave aggressively and have much poorer prognoses.
