Skin Cancer

Skin cancers usually present as a growth on the skin of the face, neck or scalp. There are a number of different types of skin cancers. The two main types are melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer.

Cancerous growths can be a variety of colors, shapes, and sizes, but rest assured that the majority of growths are not cancerous. It is a good idea to have any new growths examined by a dermatologist, especially if they are growing quickly. Diagnosis of a skin cancer usually requires a biopsy, and most cancerous growths can be treated with surgical excision.
